One of our beneficiaries named Florence decided to start an eatery selling Kenyan traditional dishes. She has a passion for food and putting smiles on people's faces through good food is her daily delight. Heavenly Goshen made this humble dream happen through the "The Unveiled & Delighted Woman" program. Florence joined the program after going through separation from her life partner of 19 years because of domestic violence which had led her to depression. She went through counseling and business training and her unwavering passion for catering was unveiled.
Florence had always dreamed of sharing her cooking skills but she lacked emotional and
financial support to start. She decided to start small and launched her "Deli Traditional Eateries" after receiving small capital funding from Heavenly Goshen. She used the funds to get a space, purchase new kitchen equipment, and hired an assistant. "Deli Traditional Eateries" has continued to flourish, giving a sense of purpose to Florence and her four children who are great beneficiaries of the business.
She is now able to feed her children, secure shelter for them and pay some school fees. We are glad to be part of this transformation and hoping that Florence will grow her business to greater heights.
