Pst John & Grace Mutua

Founder

John M Mutua and his wife Grace M Mutua are the founders of Heavenly Goshen, John Mutua serves as the President of the organization, armed with passion and dedication to making a positive impact on humanity.

John Mutua who is an ordained minister, has volunteered at different women shelters. One notable shelter is, “Naomi women's shelter” under United Methodist Church in St Paul Minnesota, John Volunteered as a teacher. While at the shelter John witnessed firsthand victims of gender-based violence and developed a deep sense of empathy and compassion.

After graduating from bible school, John was involved with a local immigrant church in Minneapolis Minnesota, where he served in different ministries, (Small groups, outreach ministries). During his tenure at the church John organized different outreach events like “Feed my Starving Children” among others. He volunteered in serving underprivileged communities around Minneapolis Minnesota.

Driven by passion John has dedicated his time, resources and influence on various causes. Together with his wife of 14yrs they established Heavenly Goshen Inc a non-Profit organization that focuses on empowering women that face Gender based violence in Kenya.

In addition to Heavenly Goshen Inc, John and Grace actively support and work in partnership with existing organizations and charities that align with their mission. They believe in the power of collective action and foster collaborations that amplify the impact.


Grace M Mutua MPM

Grace M. Mutua together with her husband founded Heavenly Goshen inc, she serves as the organization Treasurer. Grace's background is in IT Business Analysis, Project and Product Management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Finance and a Master in Project Management. Grace currently works as Assistant Director for Product Management at Ernst and Young (E&Y)

Grace has been married to Pst John for 14 years and they are blessed with one Son. Being married to a minister who loves people and is moved with a heart of compassion; her gift of mercy and giving was unleashed. Her generosity was put to test many times when John would show up with strangers in need to their house for help. It has been an honor to serve God’s people and to see lives transformed through acts of kindness.

She loves cooking, hosting people, traveling and sleeping.
